The gallery was looking for ways to attract buyers who would appreciate fine arts created by local artists.
The student entrepreneur team conducted research about existing art market and local residents. After understanding the current customer group, the team discovered new target customers that are missing – an alumni group who come back to visit their hometown every year. Annual alumni event would be a perfect spot to introduce local arts to those who have a big affection for their hometown and a great network. In addition to Alumni Silent Auction event, the team has also created a plan for new display channels for art: physical display in different local partners including a motel, restaurants, bars, and digitally on Instagram to visually attract the younger generation.
