Many people in the town of Guernsey did not know about the local bed & breakfast, thus could not refer their friends, family, and out-of-town visitors to the business.

Students were tasked with increasing exposure for a local bed & breakfast. The business was already in the processing of developing a website and improving web search results, but student research revealed local residents and guests coming in to town were largely unaware of this lodging option. The students wanted to get the name of the bed & breakfast known in the community. Their solution was to create promotional pens that included the business name and contact information. The pens were distributed among the town, and as they are used the bed & breakfast name will become more well known in the community. Increasing awareness of the business will lead to an increase of guests at the hotel.
